For the fifth consecutive year the state of Georgia has been named the top state in the country for doing business by Area Development magazine.
“On behalf of the these people who are gathered here today and especially all those who are in positions of responsibility and the entire people of our state, all 10.4 million of them, we say thank you,” said Governor Nathan Deal, who alongside Area Development magazine publisher, Dennis Shea made the announcement on Thursday during Georgia Port Authority’s annual State of the Port address.
“The distinction of your publication and the honor that it brings with it is one that will stand us with us as we look to projects such as the continued expansion of the Port of Savannah and this will only enhance our stature and we appreciate it.”
