Misouri Gov. Eric Greitens was sworn-in Monday and wasted no time getting to work.

Shortly after his speech, the governor signed an executive order regarding ethics reform.

Gov. Greitens’ Senior Advisor Austin Chambers said this is the first step to take Jefferson City in a new direction.

The executive order would ban lobbyist gifts in the executive branch of government. It also states that anyone who served in the governor’s office cannot leave office and then lobby the governor’s office while Gov. Greitens is in office.

“I will be loyal to your needs, not those who pay for influence. This is the people’s house,” Gov. Greitens said.
